As per usual Hare & Hounds is jam-packed with amazing talent this month with performances by Sam Redmore in ‘Tropical Soundclash’, Nightmare on Wax for his ‘Shape The Future’ tour and Krywald & Farrer for a night of good vibes and good music from one of Birmingham’s best DJ duos. Dinner for two anyone?

Treat your other half to a romantic meal for two this Valentine’s Day at one of Kings Heaths many restaurants. Kings Heath has plenty of amazing eateries with cuisines from all over the globe and welcoming atmospheres that set the perfect scene for a romantic meal for two. Get a taste of traditional Italian dining at Ristorante Veneziano, add some spice to your meal at Radhuni with their classic Indian curry dishes or take the healthy route at Bloom with their amazing vegetarian dishes that are packed full with flavour.

Try something Vegan at the Community Market

On Sunday 25th of this month, Kings Heath goes Vegan with the Kings Heath Community Vegan Market hosted by Vegan Vybes! Running from 11 am till 3 pm the market will not only celebrate the trade taking place but will also celebrate the coming together of people and the cohesion of the community. Party till late at The Station

After the success of their ‘SEXY’ event in November, The Station are bringing the event back for Valentines on Friday 9th Feb. DJ’s James Hogan, Jah Lion Jnr and Easy D will be leading the night with a mix of RnB, Dancehall, Slow Jamz and Garage. ‘Sexy Valentine’ is a night you don’t want to miss so be sure to get your tickets here before they’re all sold out!  

Relive History at Beatles Fest 2018

Beatles Fest is coming to Kings Heath! On Sunday 11th Feb from 3 pm to 6 pm a great selection of local musicians will perform some of their favourite Beatles songs in a special pre-Valentine’s Day ‘All You Need Is Love’ session at Fletchers Bar. Expect songs in a range of musical styles from the jazz soul of Blue Silk, the folk-rock of Mr Apollo, the Ukulele Theatre, Peters plays Lennon and the notorious Eggmen plus more fantastic local musicians still to be announced. Then at 7 pm, doors will then open at the award-winning Hare and Hounds for the evening concert by the top tribute band Made In Liverpool to conclude Beatles Fest 2018 with a unique show of all your favourite classic Beatles songs. Tickets for the Beatles All You Need Is Love Session at Fletchers cost £4 in advance from Kitchen Garden Cafe or £4.40 here. Any remaining tickets will cost £5 on the door. Tickets for Made in Liverpool at the Hare & Hounds are available here. Learn the art of acro at CircusMASH

To celebrate 250 years of Circus in 2018 CircusMASH will be running their Valentines Day couples workshop for the third year in a row.  You and your other half will have to work as a pair, on the ground and in the air, as you try and master the art of circus performance. The event will be held on Saturday 10th Feb from 3 pm till 6 pm at the All Saint Center, with tickets costing £35 per couple. Check out the CircusMASH site here to find out more.

Go Ramen Crazy at Cherry Reds

Cherry Reds are bringing their interpretation of Ramen to Kings Heath on Friday 8th Feb. If you’ve never tried Ramen before you’re seriously missing out and Cherry Reds’ event is the perfect way to introduce yourself to some new cuisine. If you love Ramen already this is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a bowl. Due to the nature of the event, Cherry Reds are taking bookings by the table. Curious HIFI Soundsystem are bringing the party to Black Lab this February! If you took part in dry January this is the perfect way to celebrate with some amazing cocktails and a selection of delicious beers. The party starts from 9 pm on 3rd Feb till late with great tunes all night long! There will be plenty of local musicians playing all types of music genres for a night of great music, dancing and good vibes! However, the event doesn’t stop there, HiFi will be back every month to keep the party going at Blacklab. So if you can’t make this Saturday’s party be sure to free up some time in the coming months so you don’t miss out on a great night!
