Amid the ongoing health crisis, independent businesses and retailers are being offered free training to help build their digital skills. To bridge the skills gap for small independents in Greater Birmingham, including leisure and hospitality, Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) is funding 120 places.
The Digital Skills for Business training is part of GBSLEP’s ongoing business support scheme, “Step Forward”, focusing on resilience and recovery to aid local businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 30 businesses were helped by the Digital Skills for Business training last year, with all of them saying it had a positive impact on productivity and profitability. Businesses will be able to gain better understanding of how to increase online discoverability and visibility, and how to use social media to promote their services.
This free training course, delivered by Clockwork City in conjunction with the GBSLEP, will provide 1-to-1 mentoring sessions, phone/online support, and a post-training review workshop for all businesses and retailers involved.
Key benefits include:
- Increased Profitability
- Effective social media promotion
- Understand Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
- Increased online discoverability & visibility
