It’s the Kings Heath Summer of Silliness! We’ve invited some weird and wonderful characters to Kings Heath this summer to sprinkle some much needed silliness over B14. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be paid a visit by a collection of colourful characters who will be causing havoc and calamity on the High Street! Expect interactive street theatre, pantomime and free goodies!
Already, we’ve been visited by “The Q” – a surreal and funny outdoor performance that will appeal to anyone who has ever found themselves queuing up. These guys are “leaders in the field of Q’ing” and took to the streets of Kings Heath on Monday 23rd of August, inviting locals to join them in The Queue. Did you spot any orange-clothed Q Experts? They were popping up around up and down the High Street and beyond to admire and promote the fine art of Q’ing. How silly!
The Q is only the beginning. The Summer of Silliness is bound to bring some much-needed laughter and fun in Kings Heath post-lockdown. Look out for even more camaraderie, including some snap-happy celebrity photographers, a bunch of sociable gnomes, walking and talking real-life human-hedge hybrids, and so much more that will give your favourite fairytale a run for its money!
