It's a wonderful life

CINEMA RETURNS TO KINGS HEATH AFTER 32 YEARS

32 years after Kingsway Cinema closed in 1980, Kings Heath Community Cinema launches in the beautiful setting of All Saints Church on Saturday December 15th 6.30 pm.

Throughout 2013, the cinema will hold regular screenings of films chosen by the local community through an online poll. There will also be opportunities for local businesses, individuals and organisations to sponsor screenings, show their own films or talk to the public on anything relevant to the local area. This is an All Saints Community Arts project, supported by the Kings Heath Business Improvement District.

To celebrate this exciting new venture in style, Kings Heath Community Cinema opens with a festive screening of Frank Capra’s 1946 Christmas classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. Mulled wine, mince pies and other seasonal treats will be on sale, viewers are invited to bring along cushions for an extra cosy family event.

Tickets are on sale at the door and are £5 for adults and £3 for children under 16 and OAPs.

The launch of Kings Heath Community Cinema on December 15th fits into a packed schedule of events in Kings Heath over the Christmas period, with street entertainment, Christmas and craft markets and much more.
